Juvenile Dependency
There may be no more traumatizing event in your lifetime than having your child removed from your care, as can occur in dependency court. Ms. Ondriezek works tirelessly on behalf of parents against the Department of Children and Families (“DCF”). She also considers the needs and wishes of a child’s relatives who may be interested in providing the child with a loving and safe home during this time period. The law allows her to represent either parents or relatives. Her experience in dependency court includes guiding various parties through the system, including finalization of adoptions should the case conclude in this manner.
Juvenile Delinquency
Ms. Ondriezek’s experience as an advocate and Assistant State Attorney makes her supremely qualified to represent children charged with criminal offenses in delinquency court. Her compassion for her clients and knowledge of properly challenging the judicial system results in excellent outcomes for these children. The overlap of her extensive experience in both dependency and delinquency courts is valuable to clients under the Unified Family Court system wherein one judge hears all cases concerning one family or child.
