Private Adoptions
A private adoption may be facilitated when a birth mother contacts us and is seeking introduction to a loving adoptive family. The firm can connect birth mothers with several qualified families who have undergone background checks required by the State of Florida. Families may be located in Florida or outside the state, depending on the wishes of the birth mother. Adoptive families may provide financial assistance, as allowed by law, to the birth mother during her pregnancy and shortly thereafter, ensuring she and the baby receive prenatal care, safe housing, transportation and other needs. Stepparent Adoptions
Either a stepmother or stepfather may petition to adopt his or her spouse's children. No home study is required and these matters may usually be resolved quickly. As a mother herself, Ms. Ondriezek enjoys helping to create families using her talents as a lawyer.
Department of Children and Families ("DCF") Adoptions
Ms. Ondriezek has also finalized numerous DCF adoptions. These types of cases arise in dependency court when a biological parent has his or her parental rights terminated. Both relatives and non-relatives, and couples and singles, are permitted to adopt in dependency court. Ms. Ondriezek’s compassion and experience in this court makes her especially qualified to finalize these types of cases.
