Elizabeth R. Ondriezek

A Jacksonville native, Ms. Ondriezek completed two undergraduate degrees at the University of North Florida: a BBA in Accounting in 1992 and a Criminal Justice degree in 1994. She became a Florida licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1998. That same year, Ms. Ondriezek felt called to the law and entered law school at the University of Florida. After graduation in 2000, she began her career in public service as an Assistant State Attorney in Gainesville, Florida. Ms. Ondriezek was assigned to the Domestic Violence and Juvenile Delinquency divisions and prosecuted hundreds of cases during her tenure.

Wanting to return to her beloved Jacksonville, Ms. Ondriezek decided to open a private practice in 2002. She decided to focus on what she knew and loved best — families.

Ms. Ondriezek became certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a family law and county court mediator in 1999 and took the oath of Guardian ad Litem in 2002 . A Guardian ad Litem (“GAL”) is a volunteer appointed by the court to protect the rights and advocate the best interests of a child involved in a court proceeding. The volunteer GAL makes independent recommendations to the court by focusing on the needs of each child. Because GALs are often appointed in family law and dependency cases, Ms. Ondriezek’s qualification as a GAL gives her particular insight into their roles, limitations, and benefits.

Ms. Ondriezek is a proud member of the following associations:

  • Florida Bar
  • American Bar Association
  • Jacksonville Bar Association, serving as the chair of the Juvenile Law, Dependency and Guardian ad Litem section for 2007 and 2008
  • Florida Family Law Inn of Court–Barrister Level Member
  • First Coast Lawyers Forum
  • Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association
  • Catholic Lawyers Guild, including leadership as secretary and vice president
  • Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce

Ms. Ondriezek purchased the building in which the firm is located in 2008 and happily welcomes clients and fellow attorneys to its comfortable, private atmosphere in beautiful and historic St. Nicholas.
